Summary of Statement of Purpose

The aim of the clinic is to provide the highest level of expertise in laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment for the removal of unwanted hair, pigmented marks, and vascular lesions (rosacea, thread Veins etc) as well as reducing fat and cellulite using radiofrequency machines. All treatments are carried out with a high caliber of equipment which includes the Luminette advanced IPL system, Thermaclinic and Thermalipo, all supplied from Lynton Lasers Ltd.

Dr Teresa Johnson (MBCHB) is the Registered Manager and has over 15 years clinical medical experience in the UK. She has gained a wealth of experience in a range of non surgical cosmetic treatments and has completed all the recommended training in the use of IPL for thread veins, skin rejuvenation, acne, pigmentation and hair removal.

Treatments are offered to all over the age of 18, the cost of which is published on our Price List. Prior to treatment you must first undergo a consultation procedure. A consultation will include a health/lifestyle questionnaire and may include a test patch. At all times confidentiality and the dignity will be maintained.


Terms and Conditions

Contractual Arrangement

Prior to commencement of any laser/IPL treatment (including a patch test) you are required to sign a Consent Form. Upon signing your consent, you are confirming that you understand the benefits and risks of treatment. In addition, you are also acknowledging that no guarantee can be given with regard to clinical outcome.

Results of the Consultation

Consultations are carried out prior to any laser/IPL treatment in order to confirm your suitability for treatment. We discuss your expectations and provide a thorough explanation of the treatments provided. Any questions you may have will be addressed and any possible risks or side effects highlighted.

Comments, Suggestions and Complaints

We would like to hear your views on our service, both positive and negative and are always open to suggestions on how we can improve our service. Please discuss such matters with The Clinic Manager. A formal Complaints Procedure is in place and is summarised below:

If you complain, you will receive a written acknowledgment within 2 working days of receipt of your complaint (unless a full reply can be sent within five working days). A full response will be made within 20 working days unless the investigation is still in process. In such cases a letter explaining the reason for the delay will be sent and a full response made within 5 days of a conclusion being reached. We will always keep you informed, in writing, of the stages of investigation and actions taken. All complaints are taken seriously and brought to the attention of all personnel. If, you wish another avenue to complain you may address your concerns to The Healthcare Commission, 5th Floor, Peter House, Oxford Street, Manchester, M1 5AX or contact them on 0207 4489100.

Review of Quality of Treatment

We will carry out annual audits to ensure that our services are carried out to the highest standard. We will actively seek feedback from you, our client in order to improve our service. In addition, we hold regular clinical review meetings to monitor the consultation process, treatment efficacy and to assess whether changes need to be made to treatment protocols and the treatment information we provide to you.

Care Quality Commission Inspection Reports

Cheshire Lasers Ltd is a registered provider of Intense Pulse Light and Laser services. We are subject to inspection by the Care Quality Commission and copies of the latest report are available to you on request from the Registered Clinic Manager. You can request a copy of the report directly from the Healthcare Commission (address details given above) or find the report at www.healthcarecommission.org.uk

Additional Information

Any information we hold about you is kept in accordance with the Data Protection Act. You may have access to your own records at any reasonable time. Copies can be also be made with 24 hours notice and payment of a £10.00 administrative charge.
