Jan Marini Skin Research Resurfacing Gel Peel and Resurfacing Gel Exfoliator are highly concentrated forms of glycolic acid that can greatly assist in accelerating the results achieved with our Bioglycolic Home Care products without experiencing significant redness or requiring a recovery period.
The Resurfacing treatments offer great benefits for ageing and photo damaged skin, acne, hyperpigmentation and scar reduction. This procedure especially appeals to the patient who wants to measurably improve the appearance of their skin with a procedure that enables them to immediately apply makeup and continue with their usual activities.
Glycolic treatments offer a wonderful boost to the skin leaving it looking brighter, smoother and softer. The procedure can help to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and can also help in reducing the appearance of scar tissue. Whilst resurfacing the skin, glycolic acid gently lifts away the damaged dead glue like layers of the skin that are characteristic of many skin conditions.
The peel may be done over lunchtime and make-up can be applied straight after the procedure so there is no need for any down time following a peel.

We recommend a two-week home care programme prior to the resurfacing treatments and peels.This acclimatises the skin to glycolic acid. The Jan Marini preparation products often improve this skin in a few days clients tell us their skin feels smoother and looks brighter and fresher.
We also offer a lighter facial peel / mask which is a perfect alternative to the Glycolic acid peels. It does not require skin preparation and is a great one off treatment.
The treatment includes products such as the papaya mask, C Esta mask and Retinol mask. The "lighter" facial peel exfoliates the skin by digesting dead and diseased protein material without harming healthy tissue. This treatment is a relaxing experience and will improve photo-damaged skin, discolouration and acne lesions. It will also help brighten the skin and minimise enlarged pore size.
