Discover the wonders of massage with Katherine Waldron and Claire Coppola at Cheshire Lasers.
These medical and therapeutic techniques offer healing health benefits and are designed to relax, rejuvenate and de-stress.
Cheshire Aromatherapist Katherine Waldron selects essential oils for their therapeutic effects in treating stress-related conditions such as insomnia and headaches, digestive disorders, colds and menstrual problems. It is also used to relieve stress, help relaxation and enhance well-being. These effects may be sedative, calming, stimulating, uplifting, anti-depressant, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-viral or anti-oxidant.
How does it work?
Aromatherapy is an alternative medicine technique that makes use of essential oils, blended to suit each client’s need. Molecules in the scents released by the essential oils are absorbed into the bloodstream either through the skin during massage or by inhalation through the nose and lungs. These pass to the part of the brain that influences mood and the hormonal system. Massage therapy at the Cheshire clinic aims to: - develop and maintain your physical function. - Relax tense muscles. - Relieve or prevent physical dysfunction and pain. - Improve circulation and immune system functionality. - Reduce stress. - Relax the mind. - Improve blood flow. - Increase overall feeling of well-being.
Indian head massage is based on a system of traditional medicine which has been practised in India for over a thousand years.
How does it work?
The aim of Indian head massage is to release the stress that has accumulated in the tissues, muscles and joints of the head, face, neck and shoulders. The client sits in a massage chair for the treatment. Our therapist, Katherine Waldron, uses a range of different movements including application of deep kneading and compression movements over the neck, shoulder and scalp areas. In addition, Katherine will also gently stimulate key pressure points on the face. Indian head massage is especially good for relieving stress, tension, fatigue, insomnia, headaches, migraine and sinusitis. The technique also helps increase joint mobility and flexibility in the neck and shoulders, improves blood circulation and lymphatic flow, frees knots of muscular tension, relaxes connective tissue, and aids in the elimination of accumulated toxins and waste products. It is particularly good for reducing the effects of stress and tension.

Her main specialties are in treating necks, shoulders and backs and she has strong links with local hospital consultants who work in these areas.
Mandy can help reduce pain and stress to promote well being and correct posture and can address aches, pains, disease, stress and tension, sprains, arthritis and other health conditions such as ME and IBS.
Mandy also has experience in the management of sports injures and rehabilitation after sports injuries. She can also help with genitourinary problems due to obstetric and gynaecology problems.
As you would expect, Amanda is professionally registered with The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and is covered by insurance ensuring the highest level of care.
Amanda's soft tissue massage and sports massage is an immediate and powerful technique used to relax and release persistent tissue tension. It can be conducted either direct to the tissue or through clothing, breaking up scar and tense tissue to regain normal muscle length. Acupuncture can also be used to assist this type of treatment.
