Cheshire Lasers Clinic in Middlewich is excited to now offer the Sunekos 1200 Proforma System.
Whats is Sunekos?
Sunekos is an injectable treatment containing 6 amino acids and Hyaluronic acid. It works by stimulating the fibroblasts in the skin to produce collagen and elastin. Sunekos helps to improve skin ageing, skin dryness, acne scarring, sun damage, loss of tone & elasticity, dark circles under the eyes and fine lines and wrinkles.
It is particularly effective in the periocular (eye) area for reducing fine lines, dark circles, and bags.
Sunekos is a natural product that not only stimulates the synthesis of collagen types 1 and 3 but also supports the synthesis of collagen types 4 and 7, as well as elastin, restoring elasticity and volume to the skin. It is a great option for people who want to improve their skin while maintaining a natural appearance.
Sunekos is also a great option for people who do not want Botox or filler treatments.
I recently had Botox and fillers. Can I still have a Sunekos treatment?
Yes. You can have a Sunekos treatment alongside other treatments to improve your skin’s quality.
Which areas can it treat?
Sunekos can treat the skin on different parts of the face and body, including the face, neck, décolleté, and hands.
Many people opt for a full-face treatment, but it can also be used on localised areas, such as under the eyes.
It is particularly effective in the periocular area to reduce dark circles and bags, as well as on the forehead.
Sunekos can treat various indications, including loss of tone, skin ageing and premature skin ageing, skin dryness, solar elastosis, acne scarring, sun damage, dark circles under the eyes and fine lines and wrinkles.
What does the treatment involve?
A Sunekos treatment consists of a series of injections in the treatment area.
Depending on the area being treated, the Sunekos 1200 Proforma protocol typically requires 3 treatments over a 4-week period. (One every 2 weeks)
Each treatment normally takes about 30 minutes.
A small percentage of people may need a 4th treatment 2 weeks later for best results.
Is there any Downtime?
The procedure has no downtime, and the patient can resume normal activities immediately. You will start to see some improvement after the first session.
You may have some bruising, however, which may take up to a week to resolve.
How long does Sunekos last?
Depending on the patients and the condition of their skin, results can last for up to 6 months before repeating the procedure.
Who performs this treatment?
Dr Teri Johnson performs Sunekos treatments at Cheshire Lasers.
It improves the skin surface, treating pigmentation and poor texture while boosting collagen and elastin to reduce wrinkles and fine lines and simultaneously tightening the skin.
Unlike traditional laser treatments that work only on the skin’s surface, Neogen also penetrates deeper layers, making it a superior option for anyone seeking to reverse signs of ageing, repair sun damage, or improve overall skin texture and tone.
Is it similar to a Plasma Pen device?
No, it is very different from handheld devices, which create tiny injuries on the skin’s surface. Neogen uses nitrogen gas, which it converts into plasma energy. This energy treats the skin more uniformly on the surface and penetrates deeper into the skin. It improves both the epidermis and dermis layers, stimulating collagen production over time while treating a range of skin concerns.
What does a Neogen Treatment involve?
Cheshire Lasers uses the latest Neogen Plasma EVO Device, which has a range of settings to control the energy and enable various treatments, from mild to moderate to more aggressive. This ensures the outcome of the treatment chosen for you is predictable and reliable, with minimal risk of complications.
A handpiece delivers the nitrogen plasma energy and rapidly heats the skin, creating a controlled injury.
Most patients describe the feeling as warm but not painful. The intensity of the heat, however, can vary depending on the depth and intensity of the treatment. Lighter treatments feel milder, while more intensive sessions produce a stronger sensation that may require a topical anaesthetic.
The injury to the top layer leads to some superficial shedding of skin cells. This improves the skin’s texture, especially fine lines, age spots, and acne scars. It also triggers your body’s natural healing response, creating healthy new collagen and elastin, resulting in immediate skin tightening and firmer, tighter skin over time.
Whether you’re looking to enhance the overall appearance of your skin or target specific concerns, Neogen offers a tailored approach that meets your individual needs and downtime.
Which Areas Can Neogen Plasma Treat?
At Cheshire Lasers, we mainly treat the face with Neogen Plasma; however, we also treat the body.
This is the only treatment we can use to treat the eyelids.
What Skin Issues Can It Treat?
Neogen plasma skin rejuvenation is a versatile treatment that addresses a wide variety of skin concerns, including:
Hooded eyes
Eyelid laxity (inc. crow’s feet folds, heavy lids, under-eye folds)
Lines & wrinkles
Large pores
Pigmentation (sunspots, freckles)
Poor texture
Sun damage /photodamage
Skin laxity
Actinic (solar) keratosis
Scars

What are the Benefits of Neogen Skin Rejuvenation?
If you’re considering Neogen skin rejuvenation at our Cheshire Lasers Clinic, here are some of the key benefits that make this treatment stand out:
Non-Invasive: Neogen is a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment with minimal discomfort and downtime.
Quick Recovery: Most patients can return to their daily routine shortly after treatment, with any redness typically subsiding within a few days.
Long-Lasting Results: The skin continues to improve for months after the treatment as collagen production is stimulated.
Safe for All Skin Types: Neogen plasma technology is safe for all skin tones and types, making it a versatile option for anyone seeking rejuvenation.
Customisable Treatment Levels: Whether you’re looking for a mild refresh or a more intensive anti-ageing solution, Neogen can be tailored to your specific skin needs.
What to Expect During Your Neogen Treatment
Before your Neogen treatment, we ask that you attend a consultation with one of our specialists. They will assess your skin and create a treatment plan to suit your needs.
During the procedure, the practitioner will use the plasma device to deliver controlled energy to the treatment area, creating a warming sensation as the nitrogen plasma works its magic.
Sometimes, we will apply a topical anaesthetic, but this is only necessary if you are opting for a deeper treatment. Depending on the intensity of the treatment, sessions usually last between 30 minutes to an hour.
After treatment, we will give you some products to use on your skin for the next few days to ensure you avoid any products that may irritate or delay the healing process.

Our pHformula Facial allows you to try our amazing pHformula products in a facial treatment using a combination of products specially chosen to suit your skin concerns.
pH formula products are between that of a cosmeceutical and a medical prescription treatment. Their philosophy is to treat the ‘inside out’ as their products contain a unique delivery system that allows them to target the cells deep in the skin.
The Facials involve the following steps:
Step 1:
Cleanse using EXFO cleanse. Provides gentle exfoliation.
Step 2:
Degrease the skin using SKIN primer. This will guarantee optimum penetration of other products.
Step 3:
(OPTIONAL) LED light therapy for 25 minutes. Red, blue and Infrared light provides increased energy to cells, stimulating collagen and elastin production. This also boosts the skin’s circulation, speeds up tissue repair and increases the production of new skin cells.
Step 4:
Exfoliation using DERMABRASION cream. Provides mild skin resurfacing to assist in cell renewal, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Step 5:
HYDRA GEL mask, PEPTIDE mask applied or the ADVANCED peel-off selected to treat your skin type and problems.
Step 6:
VITA C activator and power OR TDS Solution.
VITA C helps to improve uneven pigmentation and increases cell turnover.
TDS helps to firm, lift and revitalise delicate skin and to enhance collagen building and skin elasticity.
Step 7:
POST-recovery cream hydrates the skin but also has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
Step 8:
SPF 50+
pHformula Anti-Ageing Facial
Our pHformula resurfacing treatments include the A.G.E. solutions, which come in various strengths. We can choose a range of different products for each treatment according to your skin sensitivity. How Much Are Anti-Ageing Facials and Resurfacing Treatments?
Polynucleotide (PN) skin rejuvenation treatments have gained significant attention in aesthetic medicine. They involve a revolutionary, non-invasive procedure for enhancing skin texture and appearance. Based on utilising biological substances to stimulate tissue regeneration, PN treatments have emerged as a promising solution for individuals seeking to revitalise their skin without resorting to more invasive procedures.
What are Polynucleotides?
Polynucleotides are the building blocks of DNA molecules. They have been used since the 1950s for burn and wound healing and are known to possess bioactive properties that can aid in repairing and rejuvenating damaged skin.
They have been created synthetically or can be from animal origin. The most common products available for skin rejuvenation are extracted from salmon or trout sperm. The DNA is purified so that patients with fish allergies are still suitable for treatment.
Nucleofill and Plenhyage are created from Salmon DNA fragments, and Plinest is made from Trout DNA fragments.
How do Polynucleotides work?
When injected into the dermal layer of the skin, the PN DNA fragments act as signalling agents that stimulate fibroblasts and trigger the body’s natural regenerative processes, promoting cellular regeneration. This results in collagen and elastin synthesis and the production of essential structural proteins and hyaluronic acid, which improve hydration and moisture retention, restoring youthful skin characteristics.
As a result, patients may observe a reduction in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin. They also can create a healthier complexion and reduce the visibility of skin imperfections such as pigmentation irregularities and scars.
The gradual and cumulative effects of polynucleotide skin rejuvenation treatments make them a preferred option for individuals seeking gradual but noticeable improvements in their skin quality.
How long do the results of Polynucleotides last?
The results of PN treatments may generally last several months to a year. The average response lasts for six to nine months.
The duration of the effects of PN Treatments varies depending on the specific type of PN used, individual response to the treatment, and the initial condition of the skin. The longevity of their effects also depends on the body’s natural ageing process and environmental factors.
Which areas can Polynucleotides Treat?
PNs can revitalise the skin on all areas of the face and body.
Face: To improve facial skin’s texture, tone, and elasticity. They can help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of ageing, resulting in a more youthful and radiant complexion.
Neck and décolletage: The delicate skin on the neck and décolletage can also benefit from PN treatments, helping to tighten and firm the skin in these areas and reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
Hands: PN therapy can be used to rejuvenate the skin on the hands, minimising the visible signs of ageing, such as thinning skin, wrinkles, and age spots, thereby improving the overall texture and appearance of the hands.
Body: PN treatments can also be applied to various areas of the body, such as the arms, abdomen, and thighs, to promote skin regeneration, improve elasticity, and reduce the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks.
Scalp: In recent years, PN treatments have gained attention for their potential to promote hair growth and improve scalp health. When administered to the scalp, PN therapy can help strengthen hair follicles and stimulate hair growth, contributing to thicker and healthier-looking hair.
How many Treatments will I need?
Most people require three treatment sessions in total.
We recommend one session (2ml) every 14- 21 days.
Contraindications to Polynucleotide Treatment
Pregnancy
Breast Feeding
Active skin infections
Patients with the following conditions can sometimes be treated with caution:

What side effects can I expect after a PolyNucleotide Skin Rejuvenation Treatment?
During treatment, you will experience pin-prick bleeding and sometimes itchiness.
For several days, you can expect the following in the treatment area:
redness
slight swelling
Bruising
Occasionally, the bruising and swelling can last longer.
After Care
Avoid touching the treated area for at least 12 hours
Avoid Makeup for 24hrs
Avoid direct sun exposure
SPF to protect the area and prevent further skin ageing.
No facial treatments for two weeks

Polynucleotide skin rejuvenation treatments represent a breakthrough in the field of aesthetic medicine, offering a safe and effective solution for individuals looking to revitalise their skin’s youthful characteristics. By harnessing the regenerative potential of PN molecules, these treatments stimulate collagen synthesis, enhance skin hydration, and promote overall skin health, leading to a more radiant and youthful complexion. As the field of aesthetic medicine continues to evolve, polynucleotide skin rejuvenation is poised to remain a prominent player in the quest for achieving natural and long-lasting skin rejuvenation.
At Cheshire Lasers, we use Dermaforce to deliver RadioFrequency (RF) Microneedling. This advanced treatment combines microneedling with Radiofrequency (RF) technology to effectively treat a large number of cosmetic concerns, with excellent results.
This combination treatment has become more and more popular recently due to improvements in the way the technology is used to deliver better results. It is also more popular due to its extensive coverage on social media and in the press.
How RadioFrequency Microneedling Works
Insulated fine gold-plated needles deliver Bi-Polar Radio Frequency (RF) into the skin. The depth of the treatment varies depending on the skin concerns that need treating. The radiofrequency energy heats the tissue in the region of 55 – 65°C and, depending on the depth, will stimulate cell renewal, new collagen, increased hydration and resurfacing.
How is New Collagen Stimulated?
The energy/heat released into the skin causes immediate trauma to the existing mature, dehydrated collagen cells causing contraction and damage to this tissue. This damage stimulates a fibroblast action (fibroblasts are the connective tissue cells that produce collagen and elastin) which results in the production of new collagen and an increase in the diameter of the collagen fibres. The spaces between the fibres are also reduced.
This result causes an increased density of the dermal layer giving a skin-tightening effect.
What Can RadioFrequency Microneedling Treat?
Loose and Sagging Skin
Fine Lines and Wrinkles
Pitted Skin
Uneven skin texture
Stretch Marks
Which areas can it treat?
We usually recommend a full-face treatment rather than treating specific facial areas. However, we can focus more on specific areas if they need more improvement.
Areas that RF Microneedling work well on include:
Crows feet
Neck and décolletage
Perioral/ Mouth area

pHformula is a skin resurfacing system with actions between a cosmeceutical and a medical prescription treatment.
Skin Resurfacing and Peels stimulate the production of collagen and new skin cells to deliver fresher, healthier-looking skin.
What is different about pHformula?
pHformula has taken skin resurfacing even further and has a unique mechanism of action based on over three decades of combined scientific, medical and skin health knowledge and experience.
A conventional peeluses high concentrations of acids which cause tissue damage, inflammation, and plenty of peeling.

This is due to Ph formula’s unique delivery complex, which provides controlled chemical resurfacing without excessive skin irritation. It’s like having a peel without peeling!
The pH formula philosophy is all about the ‘outside in’ and ‘inside out’ approach.
The resurfacing systems target the needs of your skin type:
anti-ageing
hyperpigmentation
chronic redness
acne
Different treatments can be combined to create a bespoke program with controlled strength and depth depending on your skin’s sensitivity levels.

They contain a host of active ingredients, including retinol, antioxidants and hyaluronic acid, but what makes Emepelle totally different to even the best traditional anti-ageing creams is that it also contains MEP Technology®.
MEP Technology is a new kind of ingredient that rejuvenates menopausal skin. It encourages the skin to behave as if the oestrogen were still there. MEP doesn’t add oestrogen to the body. Instead, it helps key skin cells work the way they did before menopause when they were being stimulated by oestrogen. This process helps restore lost collagen and vitality. Resulting in younger-looking skin that’s hydrated, brighter and firmer.
As you approach and go through menopause, oestrogen levels decline, causing accelerated collagen loss and skin ageing, leading to dehydration, dryness, sagging, dullness and more wrinkles. That’s why so many women see their appearance change rapidly during menopause.
By acting on the oestrogen receptors, both the cream and the serum have an additional function not seen in other skin regimes.
Why consider trying Emepelle?
Consider it if you have seen a change in your skin texture and hydration due to perimenopause / menopause.
It can also help if you are post-menopausal and would like to try a different technology to stimulate skin firmness and hydration.
Here at Cheshire Lasers, Emepelle is one of our top treatments for rejuvenating peri and postmenopausal skin. We have seen with our own eyes in some clients results comparable to some of our injectable skin booster treatments.
If you have low in estrogen and your skin has lost its hydration and elasticity, consider Emepelle. After a few months of treatment, skin often looks more hydrated, plumper and less dull. ( although results do vary from person to person)
For best results, we recommend the serum in the morning and the cream at night. You may, however, prefer to try one of the products first, depending on your skin type and sensitivity.
Before starting the Empelle regime, we recommend a consultation, and we can discuss how each product works and how they would suit your skincare needs.
We can do this over the phone free of charge.
Alternatively, book a face to Face assessment which is £25. We can give you samples to try to make sure they suit your skin. Should you then make a skincare purchase, the £25 will be deducted.

Cheshire Lasers is an official ZO Skin Health Retailer.
Find out more about the Science behind this serum.
At Cheshire Lasers, we provide various treatments to improve the lines and other signs of ageing around the lips/mouth area. This area is also known as the “Perioral area”.
The lines in this area vary from person to person.
Some people have fine superficial lines or skin texture changes on this skin surface. Others have smooth textured skin but deeper lines due to collage and fat loss in the tissues supporting the skin. Others have both changes.
Cheshire Lasers’ Favourite Treatments for Lip Lines Include:
Everyone ages differently in various ways, depending on a wide range of factors. When deciding on the best treatment for you, we need to assess the causes of the problem; this will then help us decide on the best solutions.
Some people may only need one method of treatment to address their concerns; however, some people need a combination of treatments. The longer you have had the lines and wrinkles around the mouth and the more damaged the skin texture is, the less effective the results are, and the more treatment you will probably need.
To help find the right treatment for you, we recommend a consultation.
At the consultation, we will assess your lip lines and decide if you have perioral volume loss or if skin texture is the cause. It may be that both areas need addressing.
We will also discuss the treatments available to you, the costs involved, how effective the treatments are, the risk and benefits, and any downtime you might experience. We will also advise you on maintaining the results following your treatment. The consultation should help you make an informed choice about the method of treatment you would like to try.
What causes the lines and wrinkles in the Perioral area?
Women tend to age in this area more than men, as over time, they tend to lose all of the fat in the perioral area with age. This fat acts like a mattress under the skin and gives a plumping effect. As the fat goes, the skin is then sat on the muscle, which means the dynamic lines of movement are visible.
Facial expressions such as pursing the lips cause dynamic lines. These lines are usually more obvious in people that smoke; however, they are often are seen in non-smokers who have the habit of repeatedly using their muscles for their facial expressions.
Dr Teri Johnson specialises in “Dermal Filler Lip Rejuvenation” a treatment that gently restores ageing lips and improves the perioral area.
Dermal fillers are one of the most effective treatments for more significant volume loss in the perioral area. The use of Dermal Fillers helps to subtly replace lost volume and hydration in the lips. Dermal Fillers also reduce the perioral (smokers’ lines) that develop due to loss fat loss and collagen loss. The filler plumps out this area so the skin has a soft support structure to sit on, this way the lines from the movement of the muscles underneath are no longer visible.
Dr Teri has spent many years perfecting using different Dermal Fillers to suit different peoples needs.
Treating the perioral area with Botox reduces the movement of the orbicularis oris muscle. This treatment is usually reserved for people who overuse these muscles and often hold a pursed-lip expression when relaxed.
If a Botox treatment is overdone in this area, it can lead to problems with speech, eating etc. When performed correctly, this usually does not happen. However, it is common to be aware of slight mouth weakness for a day or two when the Botox first kicks in.
This treatment can be performed in combination with a Dermal Filler treatment. However, the two procedures are best performed a few weeks apart.
The Neogen treatment provides excellent results rejuvenating in this area. It targets the deeper supporting tissues, stimulating collagen and improving the deeper lines in the lower skin layers while also targeting the upper layer, reducing the surface fine lines and texture.
At Cheshire Lasers, we use Dermaforce to deliver RadioFrequency (RF) Microneedling. This advanced treatment combines microneedling with Radiofrequency (RF) technology to effectively treat many cosmetic concerns, with excellent results. It can target multiple layers deeper in the dermis to stimulate collagen to reduce and support deeper lip lines. It also can target more superficial skin cells to resurface the skin and target stubborn lines engrained in the skin’s surface.
Our Ultraformer MF2 treatment is an alternative to injectable treatments for replacing lost volume under the skin with collagen. The ultrasound causes trauma to the dermis and stimulates collagen production, which develops over a few months. The plumping effect under the skin reduces the appearance of wrinkles after a course of treatments. The result with this treatment varies as everyone’s collagen production is different.
A second headpiece can be used during this treatment to address the epidermis (the top skin layer of skin) to help stimulate increased cell turnover. We tend to use this for those people suffering from thickened lines on the top layer of skin. (Stratum corneum)
Radiofrequency is an alternative to out Ultraformer treatment. It is less aggressive and less uncomfortable; many people report that it is a pleasant, relaxing experience. A course of 6 to 8 treatment are often required for optimum results.
This treatment stimulates collagen under the skin for a plumping effect but also helps fine lines in the top layer by stimulating cell renewal. Again, results with this treatment vary as everyone’s collagen production is different.
Microdermabrasion works on the top layer of skin (stratum corneum) by exfoliating the dead cells on the top layer, which are often dull, dried out and creased. The treatment encourages faster cell turnover and allows new, less creased and less dehydrated cells to replace them on the surface. We recommend a course of at least three treatments to see the benefits.
Microneedling works on the top layer to stimulate cell renewal, improving skin texture. It also works in the dermis to stimulate collagen and plump out the dermis under the skin.
This treatment has more downtime than most of the others.
Costs for this treatment are similar if treating one area or the full face, so we usually recommend a full-face rejuvenation for cost-effectiveness.
At Cheshire Lasers, we regularly review our treatments, protocols, and client results.
We now combine microdermabrasion and radiofrequency to give lovely lip line improvements with minimal discomfort and no downtime.
The following shows a before and after a course of treatments using this combination.
